MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression “Dante” (international name: Choi-wan) is forecast to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday afternoon, the weather service said in its 5 p.m. weather bulletin.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Dante, the fourth storm to enter the country this year, is expected to be 685 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, on Saturday afternoon.

Dante had maximum sustained winds of 55 km per hour and gusts of up to 70 kph. It was moving northeastward at 20 kph and will be heading over the East China Sea on Saturday. Dante left four people dead in Mindanao and seven missing. —Nikka G. Valenzuela
