Fugitive with P1.3-M bounty for his capture falls in Maguindanao
COTABATO CITY, Maguindanao, Philippines — The long arm of the law has finally caught up with a fugitive facing various criminal charges.
Duma Anayatin did not resist when police nabbed him at his lair at around 5 a.m. on Friday in Barangay Damabalas in Datu Piang town, according to Maj. Esmael Madin, chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Maguindanao.
Anayatin, who had long been in hiding, is said to be facing multiple murder and multiple frustrated murder charges. He had a P1.3 million bounty for his arrest.
He was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Annabelle Piang of the Regional Trial Court Branch 13 in Cotabato City.
