Elderly, minor caught sniffing shabu with 4 others in Legazpi City
LEGAZPI CITY –– An elderly, a minor, and four other persons were caught by police anti-narcotics operatives while sniffing shabu (crystal meth) on Tuesday in a drug sting in this city, a police report said Wednesday.
Arrested were Rafael Abion, 60; Rhejo Bingayen, 20; Enrico Arena, 22; and a student, 17, all residents of Barangay Puro; Dondon Arao, 30, a resident of Barangay Binanuahan, according to Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.
Also arrested was Jomar Bingayen, 31, the owner of the house in Barangay Puro, where the shabu session was held.
Police serving a search warrant swooped down at Bingayen’s residence and caught the suspects having a drug session around 5:45 p.m.
Police seized seven sachets of suspected shabu during the operation.
The arrested suspects were taken to the city police custodial facility while complaints for possession, use, and peddling of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared.
