Bacolod, Negros Occidental now classified low-risk for COVID-19

BACOLOD CITY –– The Department of Health on Monday downgraded the COVID-19 risk classification of this city and Negros Occidental from moderate to low risk.

Dr. Bea Camille Natalaray, in an online briefing on the COVID-19 situation in the Western Visayas Monday, said the daily COVID-19 attack rates in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City have dropped.

She said Bacolod’s daily COVID-19 attack rate of 11.36 percent from April 20 to May 3 dropped to 6.39 percent from May 4 to 17.

Negros Occidental’s daily COVID-19 attack rate of 6.53 percent from April 20 to May 3 dropped to 2.67 percent from May 4 to 17.
