16 more PNP personnel in Central Luzon infected with COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales An additional 16 personnel of the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon were infected with the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In an advisory on Monday (May 17), the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said these new cases were recorded on May 15 and raised the active infections among PNP personnel in the region to 109.

So far, the PRO3 has logged 1,200 total COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year based on the data from its health service office.

About 800 policemen from the region had already recovered while four had died from the severe respiratory ailment caused by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
