Campaign vs online video piracy intensified

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) on Saturday said it entered into an agreement with major telcos and the National Telecommunications Commission to intensify the country’s campaign against online video piracy. Rowel Barba, chief of IPOPHL, said the memorandum of understanding among local stakeholders and the Asia Video Industry Association would help the government end movie streaming piracy by blocking websites that offer pirated contents. —Marlon Ramos
