Suspected drug traders gunned down in Batangas

MANILA, Philippines–Three people facing drug charges were gunned down Thursday by still unidentified suspects in Batangas, police said.

Inspector Liezel Dimaandal said that three of four victims identified as Fellipe Garcia Torio,55; Lydia de Vera Torio, 55; Arnold Baldomino Dulay,35, died on the spot while another victim, Alejandro Torio de Vera aka Andrew Torio survived but likewise sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to Apacible Memorial District Hospital for treatment.

Dimaandal said at around 12:30 pm. Thursday, four unidentified suspects wearing bonnets on-board an unidentified four wheel vehicle fired at them while they were traversing along So Sagbat Barangay (village) Lumbangan, Nasugbu, Batangas after attending a court hearing at Branch 14 of the Regional Trial Court of Nasugbu, Batangas.

Suspects fled but the police recovered from the scene 41 spent shells from a caliber .45 pistol, she said.

Dimaandal said that police are conducting a follow up operation for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
