Housewife gunned down in Sorsogon
LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines — A housewife was shot and killed on Tuesday night by an unidentified gunman at her residence in Juban town in Sorsogon province.
Angeline Hinga, 21, died on the spot after sustaining several bullet wounds on her body, said Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.
An initial report said the victim and her partner Nelson Forlaje were at their house in Barangay (village) Catanusan when two men entered and approached the couple at around 6 p.m.
One of the suspects pulled out a caliber .45 handgun and shot the victim several times, killing her instantly. The suspects immediately fled following the incident.
Recovered from the crime scene were four spent shells from a caliber .45 pistol.
Police investigators are still determining the identities of the suspect and the motive for the killing.
