3 North Cotabato detainees escaped from jail, 1 recaptured

MANILA, Philippines—Three detainees in a municipal police station in North Cotabato escaped from jail Thursday afternoon but one recaptured, a Philippine National Police official said.
Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. identified the fugitives as Tasly Ulimpain Sanoy, Nasser Daigan Saoton and Ramil Sumaray.

He said that Sanoy and Saoton were both charged for illegal possession of firearms, while Sumaray was charged for carnapping.

He said that for still unidentified manner, the three escaped the Mlang Municipal Police Station in North Cotabato around 2:30 p.m., but Sumaray was recaptured in a pursuit operation conducted.
