Zambales logs 1 COVID-19 case; lowest single-day tally in 4 months

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– This province on Monday logged a single case of COVID-19 in 24 hours, registering its lowest one-day tally for the first time in about four months.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the new patient is a 47-year-old female helper of a government official.

She had no history of travel outside the province, and her infection was discovered during a routine swab test.

With the new case, the total number of infections in the province reached 1,867, with 274 still active.

A patient also recovered that day, bringing the total recoveries to 1,552 while the death count stands at 40. INQ
