Motorcycle assassins shoot, kill 2 workers in Bataan

MARIVELES, Bataan—Two construction workers were shot and killed by motorcycle-riding assassins operating with impunity early on Friday (April 30), police said.

Investigators identified the victims as Reynaldo Olibia and his nephew, Joan  “Jon” Olibia, both residents of this town.

Police said the victims were on the way to work when ambushed near the Maritime Asia and the Pacific around 9 a.m.

Both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Lt. Col. Cesar Lumiwes, Mariveles police chief, said the suspects were wearing helmets and black jackets.

Investigators said they believed the victims could have been involved in a land dispute.
