3 men suspected of illegal gun possession slain in Camarines Sur
LEGAZPI CITY –– A man suspected of possession of illegal firearms was killed in a search operation in Iriga City in Camarines Sur province on Monday night.
Lt. Col. Paz Magistrado, Iriga City police chief, reported that Raffy Llagas ran towards the back of his house in Barangay Antipolo around 11:30 p.m. upon serving the search warrant. He fired at the operatives, prompting them to return fire. Llagas died on the spot due to bullet wounds.
Magistrado also reported that Pablito Dosal Jr., 43, was killed in Barangay Sta. Maria in the same city at 4:20 a.m.
The operatives served a search warrant for illegal firearms against Dosal, allegedly a member of the Militia ng Bayan (People’s Militia) and Sangay ng Partido sa Lokalidad.
In Goa town, Marlon Collantes, 39, was killed at his residence in Sitio (sub-village) Libtong Dakula in Barangay Payatan around 5 a.m. The report said the serving of a search warrant for illegal guns against Collantes resulted in an armed confrontation.
Police also identified Collantes as a member of Sangay ng Partido sa Lokalidad.
