LOOK: Bride wears wedding dress while getting COVID-19 vaccine

A woman decided to get her COVID-19 vaccine while wearing her wedding reception dress, after she had to cancel the reception because of the pandemic.

“Here comes the bride… to get her vaccination at M&T Bank Stadium Mass Vaccination Site!” the University of Maryland Medical System said while showing photos of the bride Sarah Studley getting her vaccine, through a Twitter post on Monday, April 12.

Studley’s wedding reception had been canceled twice due to the ongoing pandemic, leaving her white wedding gown untouched. But instead of letting the satin and polka-dot sleeved dress go to waste, she found her vaccination as enough reason to get dolled up and celebrate.

“Wore the dress that was supposed to be my wedding reception dress — decided to make it my vaccine reception dress,” Studley said in a tweet on April 12, right after she got her shot.

Studley and her husband Brian Horlor got married in a small ceremony amid the pandemic and planned for a reception. It was supposed to take place last November but it was moved to June of this year, as reported by Baltimore Sun on April 12.

However, Studley noticed that the pace of vaccine rollouts did not look promising and canceled the event again because of safety concerns.

For her, wearing her dress to her vaccination appointment was a “silver lining” for the staff as she noticed that everyone appeared to be happy to see her. Studley’s nurse even admitted that patients like the bride were one of her favorite parts of her job. JB
