Suspected drug pusher falls in Lucena buy-bust

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation here early Monday, police said.

Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report that anti-illegal drug operatives collared Rolly Rodriguez, 42, after he sold a pack of shabu (crystal meth) to undercover police in a drug deal in Barangay 10 around 1:20 a.m.

The suspect, who did not resist arrest, yielded six sachets of meth worth P18,560 in the street market.

Reformed drug users tipped off authorities on the illegal drug pushing activity of the suspect, police said.

Rodriguez is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
