Malls adjust ‘NCR Plus’ operating hours for April 12-30 MECQ

/ 01:23 AM April 12, 2021

MANILA, Philippines — Major malls announced on Sunday revised operating hours shortly after the government placed the so-called NCR Plus bubble under a modified enhanced community quarantine, which will be in effect from April 12 to 30.

The NCR Plus bubble is composed of Metro Manila and the adjacent provinces of Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, and Laguna.

To comply with the guidelines issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), malls will only allow the opening of establishments offering essential goods and services — such as groceries, supermarkets, banks, drugstores, hardware stores, telecom and computer shops, and restaurants with outdoor dining areas and take-out and delivery services.
