Caloocan’s Erice tests positive for coronavirus
Caloocan City Rep. Edgar Erice on Sunday said he tested positive for the new coronavirus. “I have very mild symptoms so nothing to worry,” Erice said in a Facebook post, adding that his district office was temporarily closed “due to the numerous cases among my staff members.” Aside from Erice, Majority Leader Martin Romualdez, Negros Oriental Rep. Jocelyn Limkaichong, Anakalusugan Rep. Michael Defensor, Abra Rep. JB Bernos and Batangas Rep. Raneo Abu have earlier tested positive for the virus. Last year, Sorsogon Rep. Ma. Bernardita Ramos and Senior Citizens Rep. Francisco Datol Jr. both died of COVID-19. The House has already recorded 277 infections with 227 recoveries. Seven House members have already died of COVID-19.
