2 suspected drug pushers nabbed in Camarines Sur

LEGAZPI CITY –– Police arrested two suspected drug personalities and seized P14,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate operations in Camarines Sur province on Monday, March 29, a report said Tuesday.

Major Chester Pomar, Tigaon police chief, said authorities served arrest warrants against Leo Maravillas, 29, for possession of illegal drugs and firearms in Barangay Gubat at 7:50 p.m.

The police recovered four sachets of shabu worth P2,000, a caliber 22 gun with six bullets, and two bullets for a shotgun.

In Pili town, Leandro Javate, 38, was arrested for selling suspected shabu in Barangay San Vicente at 4:10 p.m.

At least 12 sachets of shabu worth P12,000 were recovered from Javate, said Lieutenant Colonel Bogard Arao, Pili police chief.

The suspects were on the illegal drugs watch list of the police.
