Calapan City logs 5 new COVID-19 cases

CITY OF CALAPAN – Four police officers and a local resident were listed as the latest coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients in this city, local health authorities said.

The City Health and Sanitation Department that aside from the police officers,  a 27-year-old resident of Barangay Managpi also contracted COVID-19.  

The infected police officers are a 36-year-old policewoman assigned at the Philippine National Police Regional Office, a  45-year-old policeman from Quezon City, a 27-year-old from Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro, and a 39-year-old policewoman from Barangay Bulusan.

Since the pandemic broke out last year, the city has logged 822 confirmed COVID-19 cases (55 active cases) including 755 recoveries and 12 deaths.
