Zambales logs 30 new COVID-19 cases

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Thirty new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in this province on Saturday, (March 27), officials said.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said three of the new infections are workers of the President Ramon Magsaysay State University in the capital town of Iba.

It was not immediately known how they contracted the virus.

The other cases belong to clusters of infections among family members, including a 2 year-old boy.

The new cases raised to 1,160 the total infections in the province since the pandemic started, and 126 of these are active carriers, local data showed.
