Pagasa officially declares start of dry season
Expect warmer weather in the coming months after the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) declared on Friday the beginning of the dry season.
The weather service said the northeast monsoon or “amihan” that brought cloudy skies and nippy weather had ended, signaling warmer weather ahead.
Pagasa said the amihan might still be occasionally felt in some parts of the country, but the temperature will be gradually warmer in the coming days.
Pagasa added that the dry spell and warmer air temperatures might be prolonged in the coming months as a result of the persisting weak El Niño affecting large parts of the country. —NIKKA G. VALENZUELA
