Rain over parts of Mindanao likely due to trough of LPA
MANILA, Philippines — The trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) is anticipated to cause precipitation in some parts of Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Tuesday.
In its latest bulletin, Pagasa said the LPA was last spotted 1,015 km east-southeast of Davao City in Davao del Sur.
The state weather bureau also said it will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, and North Cotabato.
Pagasa likewise warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate with at times heavy rain in these areas.
