Fake cop nabbed in Talisay
A MAN dressed in a traffic policeman’s uniform was arrested for pretending to be a law enforcer in barangay Cansojong, Talisay City, southern Cebu.
An unlicensed .45 pistol was also recovered from Antonio Olvenario of barangay Pardo, Cebu City.
Before the arrest, some motorists complained to the Talisay police that a man in Cansojong who identified himself as policeman tried to extort money from them.
Policemen went to the area and spotted Olvenario.
He was wearing a PNP Traffic Commission (Trafcom)) pair of pants with a .45 pistol tucked in his waist, said PO2 Christopher Cesa of the Talisay City police.
The man also had an identification card representing him as an agent of the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
