Nagtahan flyover off-limits to trucks, trailers by Feb. 20 — MMDA

MANILA, Philippines — The Nagtahan flyover will be closed to trucks and trailers starting February 20, 2021, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced

In a Facebook post on Thursday, the MMDA said it would close the flyover to heavy vehicles after the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) detected several cracks.

Hence, the MMDA said only light vehicles will be allowed to use the flyover.

Truckers are advised to take the following alternate routes:

– Southbound heavy vehicles may take Earnshaw Street, Legarda Street, Ayala Street, P. Burgos Street to Roxas Boulevard.

– Northbound heavy vehicles may take Quirino Avenue to Roxas Boulevard; Quirino Avenue Extension to United Nations Avenue to Roxas Boulevard.

The Nagtahan flyover is included in the DPWH’s list of Metro Manila bridges due for repair. (Zac Sarao, trainee)
