DPWH-Eastern Visayas district engineers reshuffled
BORONGAN CITY— The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Eastern Visayas has started reassigning district engineers as part of the nationwide reorganization of personnel in a bid to eliminate corruption.
On Friday, Ferdinand Briones assumed his new post as district engineer of the Biliran Engineering District Office based in Naval, Biliran.
Briones, former district engineer of the Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office, swapped posts with former Biliran district engineer David Adongay Jr.
Arnaldo Bonifacio was also reassigned as the new district engineer of the Ormoc City-based Fourth Leyte Engineering District.
Last month, 14 district engineers who were allegedly involved in corruption were relieved from their posts, according to Public Works Secretary Mark Villar.
