Private banks in Myanmar ordered to close temporarily

YANGON — Myanmar Banks Association has instructed the private banks to close temporarily due to poor internet connection.

As there has been poor internet connection due to the current situation, members of Myanmar Banks Association needed to close their private banks temporarily beginning February 1, according to an announcement.

Moreover, the Myanmar Banks Association will be announcing the date for opening of banks following the guidance of Myanmar Central Bank.
