Simultaneous Metro Manila inoculation eyed
MANILA, Philippines — The COVID-19 vaccination programs of all the 16 cities and one municipality in Metro Manila will be done simultaneously even if local government units (LGUs) have different inoculation plans.
Parañaque City Mayor and Metro Manila Council chair Edwin Olivarez assured the capital region’s residents that no LGU in Metro Manila would be left behind once the vaccination drive starts in the metro within the first quarter of the year.
He said each of the metro LGU plans to vaccinate 30 percent of its population to complement the vaccination drive of the national government.
Vaccinators will go house-to-house to get members of the vulnerable sector, including senior citizens, inoculated. —DEXTER CABALZA
