Cops nab 3 suspected drug pushers in Quezon province
LUCENA CITY –– Three suspected drug pushers were arrested here and neighboring Tayabas City on Monday and Tuesday, the police said.
A report from the Quezon police said anti-narcotic agents collared Benjamin Macaraig, 33, after he sold P500 worth of shabu or crystal meth to an undercover police officer who posed as a drug user in a transaction in Barangay Ilayang Nangka in Tayabas around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Earlier, at 1:15 a.m., a police team also arrested Frederick Fernandez, 19, in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Wakas, also in Tayabas.
The two suspects yielded P53,000 worth of shabu in the street market.
In Lucena City, authorities arrested Noel Labasan, 37, after he sold a pack of meth to a police agent in a drug deal in Barangay Ibabang Dupay around 11:20 p.m. on Monday.
The police found P118,320 worth of shabu in his possession.
