48 more Pinoys abroad get the virus
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported on Monday that 48 more Filipinos abroad had tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total cases to 13,591. Currently, 3,968 Filipinos overseas are still undergoing treatment, it added. However, 55 have recovered from the illness, bringing the total recoveries to 8,682. Meanwhile, six more died from COVID-19 fatality among Filipinos overseas. The DFA said the Middle East and Africa had the most number of confirmed cases among Filipinos at 7,837 cases, of which 2,530 were still being treated, 4,704 had recovered while 603 had died. —Tina G.
