2 more succumb to COVID-19 in Tuguegarao City
TUGUEGARAO CITY – A middle-aged detainee and a senior citizen succumbed to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on the same day that 17 new infections were recorded in this city on Friday (Jan. 15).
As of Saturday, Tuguegarao City has logged 14 COVID-19 deaths, according the Cagayan Provincial Health Office said.
The 55-year-old detainee at the Don Domingo police precinct was also hypertensive and diabetic.
The second fatality, a 64-year-old man was initially treated after complaining of mild colds.
He was also suffering from chronic kidney disease, hypertension and gout.
Article continues after this advertisementTuguegarao City currently has 159 active COVID-19 cases, while the entire province of Cagayan has 289 active cases.
