Entire family of 4 infected with coronavirus in Olongapo
OLONGAPO CITY—A family of four has tested positive for SARS Cov2, the virus that causes COVID-19, in this city, officials said.
In a statement, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. on Friday (Jan. 8) said the source of the infection could be the 36-year-old man who infected his wife, 4-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter.
The man showed COVID-19 symptoms like body pain, headache and sore throat while his family members were all asymptomatic, Paulino said.
It was not immediately known how the man contracted the virus.
As of Friday, the city listed a total of 1,022 COVID-19 cases with 958 recoveries and 40 deaths.
