QC launches online registration for unified QCitizen ID

QC gov't to residents: Report establishments flouting quarantine protocols

MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City has launched the online registration period for its unified ID system, aimed at improving the delivery of social services, including the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.

“Yesterday, we just launched online our Quezon City, QCitizen ID system,” said Joseph Juico, co-chair of the city’s task force on COVID-19  in an interview Friday on ABS-CBN News Channel.

“It’s like a one-stop-shop where Quezon City residents can apply for an ID, not just apply for an ID, but also avail of the services the Quezon City government offers,” he added.

In a previous statement, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said the unified ID system would help in the distribution of the expected vaccines to the priority sectors.

“The registration will give importance to those who are on the priority list for the COVID-19 vaccine–senior citizens, PWDs, indigents, solo parents, and frontliners,” said Belmonte.

Quezon City already signed a tripartite agreement with the National Task Force against COVID-19 and British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca for the purchase of its COVID-19 vaccines.

To register, residents may create an account via the city’s portal qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph.

They will need a government-issued ID and a barangay certificate to proceed with the registration.

After registration, residents will receive an ID number and a digital ID which could be accessed using the QCitizen App.

Residents who have no internet access may enrol in the ID system through on-the-ground registration which would be piloted in Barangay Central on Jan. 15.
