Tagbilaran City allots P10M for COVID-19 vaccines
TAGBILARAN CITY –– The city government of Tagbilaran has allotted at least P10 million to buy coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines.
Mayor John Geesnell Yap II on Tuesday told the Inquirer that the amount may increase as the need arises.
The fund, he said, comes from the local government savings.
“This will be given for free, and we will prioritize our at least 10,000 senior citizens,” he said.
Yap advised senior citizens who want to avail of the free vaccine to pre-register for the inoculation program.
Tagbilaran is the first local government in Bohol that allocated funds for the COVID-19 vaccine.
