Napolcom exec Casurao dies; 66

TACLOBAN CITY—An official of the National Police Commission (Napolcom) died last Jan. 2 in Manila.

Rogelio Casurao, lawyer and father of four, died of a “lingering illness,” according to officials. He was 66.

Ronald Ricafort, information officer of the Calbayog city government, said Mayor Ronald Aquino has ordered the Philippine flag at city hall premises flown at half-staff starting on Monday (Jan. 4).

Casurao was councilor of Calbayog from 2001 to 2014 and Samar provincial board member from 2014 to 2015.

He was appointed to the Napolcom in 2016 by then President Benigno Aquino III.

The city council will pass a resolution for Casurao, whose remains were cremated on Monday.
