Elderly pedestrian dead in Quezon hit-and-run

LUCENA CITY –– A 68-year-old woman died in a hit-and-run incident in Lopez town in Quezon province on Wednesday.

Letecia Pardilla, a resident of Barangay Tan-ag Ibaba, was walking on the right side of the road in the village at 5:40 p.m. when a white van hit her. The van sped away after the incident, the Quezon police reported.

Pardilla had a head injury and was rushed to Saint Jude Hospital at the town proper, but died while undergoing treatment, the police said.
