Quezon province to have new police chief

LUCENA CITY – Quezon province will have a new police director starting Monday (December 28).

According to a memorandum from the Philippine National Police – Directorate for Personnel and Record Management dated December 24, incumbent Quezon police chief, Police Colonel Audie Madrideo, will be replaced by Police Colonel Ericson Dilag effective December 28. Dilag is the incumbent Pasay City police chief.

The “Termination of Designation and Designation” order was signed by Police Major General Israel Ephraim Dickson.

Madrideo, who was assigned here in July 2019, was credited with the success of anti-criminality campaigns in the province particularly against illegal drugs.

He also orchestrated the successful enforcement of health and safety protocols to combat the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the province, the number of active cases is now remarkably going down.
