WATCH: Killer cop Nuezca expresses regret, asks for help for his family

MANILA, Philippines — Police Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca, the cop who shot dead a mother and her son in Paniqui, Tarlac, has expressed regret over his actions and requested help for his family.

In a video posted on the Facebook page of Police Regional Office 3, Central Luzon police chief Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon gave Nuezca a dressing down for tainting the reputation of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

“You dragged the entire organization,” an irked De Leon told Nuezca.

Nuezca responded, saying that he regrets his action.

“Inaanim ko po sir iyong pagkakamali ko. Nadala po ako ng sobrang emosyon. Nagsisisi po ako sa ginawa ko, Sir. Malaking pagsisisi, Sir. Unang-una para sa pamilya ko, Sir,” Nuezca said.

“Sir, sana matulungan niyo ko, Sir,” he added

“Anong itutulong ko sayo?” De Leon asked

“Para sa pamilya ko na lang, Sir,” Nuezca answered.

Nuezca shot to death at point-blank his neighbors Sonya Gregorio and her son Frank on Sunday after a heated confrontation.

The shooting incident was captured on video and has gone viral on various social media platforms with hashtags linked to police abuse such as #StopTheKillingsPH, #JusticeForSonyaGregorio, and #EndPoliceBrutality.
