CAMP PACIANO RIZAL, Laguna—A speeding car was hit in the trunk by a train in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna early Tuesday, police said.

“She tried to beat the train by speeding up. We do not know why she couldn’t have just patiently waited on the intersection for the train to pass by,” Fernandez said.

As a result, a one-car train hit the rear portion of Cuevas’ car, a white Honda Civic. The train, operated by Romeo Caingcol was traveling from Manila and was bound to San Pablo City, Laguna to conduct maintenance repairs on the rail tracks.
