Singwangcha outpoints Olisa

Superflyweight prospect Marco Singwangcha of the RWS Gym beat Rex Olisa of the Aljoe Jaro Stable by unanimous decision Wednesday night to keep his unbeaten record intact in the “Bakbakan sa Tuburan” in Tuburan town, western Cebu.

Singwangcha capped his win with a 9th-round knockdown of Olisa. The three judges scored the bout: 100-89, 99-90, 98-91.

The boxer from Lanao del Norte formerly known as Marco Demecillo expressed disappointment he did not score a knockout. He has scored stoppage wins in his previous four fights and now has a record of 12 wins (9 KOs), 0 loss with 1 draw. Olisa dropped to 7W-7L-1D, 6 KOs.

Both fighters received dollars from Thai Promoter Naris Singwangcha.

Boholano Noel “Dinamita” Adelmita of the RWS Gym beat Rex Tito Singwangcha of the Aljoe Jaro Stable by unanimous decision in a closely-fought 10-round bout.

Adelmita knocked down Tito twice in the sixth round but in the seventh an accidental headbutt by Tito caused a cut on Adelmita’s right eyelid which cost Tito a point deduction. Adelmita smartly protected his lead with lateral movements and well-timed counters to win on all three judges cards via identical scores of 96-91.

Meanwhile, Romnick Magos of Mabinay, Negros Oriental beat Gerald Cortes of the Aljoe Jaro Stable via unanimous decision in their six-round battle, 58-56, 59-55 and 58-56.

Marlou Sandoval Singwangcha of Siaton, Negros Oriental won by TKO in the fourth round over Brian Muring of Bohol while Sehayahei Llanera needed only 118 seconds to win by TKO against Rajah Jim Tanawon of Princess Bulakna Resort, Siquijor. However, his twin brother Sesustener Llanera lost by second round TKO to Jason Redondo Singwangcha of Ormoc City.

The event was opened by five amateur fights dominated by the Tuburan Team which swept Medelllin, 5-0.

Winners were Rejan Rubuyas, Francisco Asendiente, Roden Ticag, Jan Robert Decamotan and Raymund Caputli.
