MANILA, Philippines — The De La Salle University (DLSU) has tied up with the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) to provide a Catholic-based certificate course on human rights in commemoration of Human Rights Day.

In a meeting through Zoom on Thursday, the DLSU signed a memorandum of agreement with the CHR for Catholic Social Teachings and human rights, that can be adopted by DLSU and other Catholic universities.

Vice president for Lasallian Mission Fritzie Ian de Vera said it was important to reaffirm our commitment to protect and respect the rights of people. The human rights course could be accessed on the Online Learning Academy, the online learning platform of the CHR, according to the university’s paper The Lasallian. —Jodee A. Agoncillo
