2 suspected gunrunners killed in QC shootout

The police killed on Saturday night two suspected gunrunners, including a former drug convict, in a shootout in Quezon City. Brig. Gen. Jonel Estomo, director of Philippine National Police antikidnapping group, said the two were part of a gunrunning syndicate, the Waray-Waray group, which also engaged in robberies and abductions in Metro Manila and Calabarzon. Estomo identified one of the slain suspects as Jhonny Radaza, who was released from jail in 2018. The other suspect remains unidentified. —Jeanette I. Andrade
