2 dead, 5 hurt in motorcycle collision in Quezon province
LUCENA CITY –– Two motorcyclists died, and five others were injured after two motorcycles collided head-on along the national road in Sariaya town in Quezon province on Thursday night
.
A Quezon police report identified the fatalities as Joseph Peñana, 25, and Mico Javier, 16, both residents of Sariaya.
The police said Peñana, aboard his motorcycle, was cruising the national road when he collided head-on with Javier’s motorcycle in Barangay Lutucan Malabag around 9 p.m.
Due to the impact of the collision, Peñana’s vehicle crashed into the pavement and was hit by another motorcycle being ridden by Mark Anthony Tolentino, 26.
Peñana died on the spot due to severe body injuries, while Javier died on the way to the United Candelaria Doctors Hospital in neighboring Candelaria town.
Article continues after this advertisementTolentino and his back-riders Eduel Peria and Cris Mark Formalejo; Joshua Victoria and Mark Bryan Bico, pillion riders of two other motorcycles, all suffered injuries.
