The Vice President personally visited the school, which now houses 1,800 evacuees, after Typhoon Ulysses (international name: Vamco) dumped rain on Central Luzon, Southern Luzon and Metro Manila, triggering massive floods.

“Yung mga kailangan dito ay mga damit, dahil wala talagang masasalba. Pagkain—siguro yung mga relief packs, okay—pero okay sana yung hot meals kasi wala ditong facilities para magluto,” Robredo said in an eight-minute clip posted on her Facebook page.

(What is needed here are clothes because they have not saved anything. They also need food, hot meals are okay, but hot meals would be much more okay since there are no facilities here for cooking.)

Aside from her appeal, Robredo can also be seen in the video personally giving the evacuees hot meals.
