BACOLOD CITY, Philippines  – A hospital in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental resumed operations on Sunday, two days after it was closed to the public for disinfection.

According to the Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz, the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital (DSBMDH) is ready to receive patients again.

Dr. Miguelito Aquino, DSBMDH acting chief, on Friday issued an advisory that all outpatient laboratory services were suspended after one of its medical technicians tested positive for COVID-19.

Only the emergency, radiology, and administrative services of the 25-bed hospital were opened.
