SHS-AdC faces USPF

THE REIGNING champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles will try to secure their ticket to the championship round as they take on the University of Southern Philippines Baby Panthers today in the semifinals of the Cebu leg of the Seaoil NBTC Elite League at the City Sports Club Cebu basketball court.

The Magis Eagles are favored to reach the finals after going through the rest of the elimination round without a single loss. They finished their campaign in the previous round with a flourish as they got past their bitter rivals Cebu Eastern College, 78-59, in spite trailing by 16 in the second period.

The other semifinal pairing will see the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers taking on CEC on Feb. 1 at the same venue.

Meanwhile, the voting for the Seaoil All Star game starts today at the different Seaoil outlets. The balloting ends on Feb. 13 with the two guards, two forwards and one center who gets the highest votes getting into the game. The Most Outstanding Player of the match will have a slot in the Seaoil All Star Showcase in Manila on March 4. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
