LOOK: Duterte conducts aerial inspection of typhoon-hit Catanduanes, Albay
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday conducted an aerial inspection of Catanduanes and Albay, two of hardest hit areas of Typhoon Rolly.
Duterte conducted the inspection amid criticisms over his absence during a televised press briefing on the national government’s response and preparation for the typhoon.
Duterte was accompanied by his long-time aide and now Senator Christopher “Bong” Go during the aerial survey.
They landed in the municipality of Guinobatan in the province of Albay, Go told reporters in a Viber message.
Over the weekend, the hashtag #NasaanAngPangulo topped the Philippines’ trending topic list as Rolly slammed Bicol region and Southern Luzon.

The President, Roque also said, may deliver a public address on Monday.
