Bicol PNP on full alert for Typhoon Rolly

LEGAZPI CITY — The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bicol has activated its Regional Standby Support Force (RSSF) composed to search and rescue units ready for deployment in areas that need assistance ahead of the expected landfall in the region of Typhoon Rolly (international name: Goni).

Police Brigadier General Bartolome Bustamante, Bicol police chief, on Friday placed all operating units on full alert status.

Bustamante has put to task all personnel of the regional headquarters and the regional mobile force battalion to be ready for deployment to augment local police units as the need arises.

Bustamante has also directed all unit commanders to coordinate with the local government units in their areas of responsibility for the respective disaster risk plans to be undertaken relative to Typhoon Rolly.
