DoT, DPWH to build roads to boost tourism
MANILA, Philippines—The Departments of Tourism and Public Works and Highways signed a memorandum of agreement that aims to entice more tourist to visit the country.
Tourism Central Luzon Regional Director Ronaldo Tiotuico said included in the MoA is the building of roads to provide direct access to tourist spots, airports, hotels particularly in central Luzon.
Tiotuico said they will identify the tourism road projects while the DPWH will implement it. He said their target is to accomplish it by 2016.
