Comelec suspends voter registration in observation of ‘Undas’
MANILA, Philippines – Voter registration will be suspended from October 31 to November 2 this year in observance of the “Undas” season or the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day holidays, the Commission on Election announced Thursday.
In an advisory, Comelec said all Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) across the country will be closed on these dates.
OEOs nationwide will resume operation on November 3.
Meanwhile, starting November 9, Comelec said voter registration will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., from Mondays to Fridays.
Voter registration amid the COVID-19 pandemic resumed on September 1, 2020.
Comelec reminded those who wish to register to continue observing and practicing minimum public health standards inside and outside Comelec offices. — Miggy Dumlao, Trainee
