Ombudsman: Zero tolerance for sexual harassment

/ 05:08 AM October 17, 2020

The Office of the Ombudsman has implemented a code of conduct prohibiting sexual harassment within the antigraft body to provide a safe environment for its employees.

Under Administrative Order No. 2, the Office of the Ombudsman would “operate a zero-tolerance policy for any form of sexual harassment” inside and outside the workplace and work events.

The code covers different kinds of sexual harassment and classified the offenses from light to grave. Those found liable of any of these offenses will be penalized.

A Committee on Decorum and Investigation for the Ombudsman’s offices will probe cases of sexual harassment. Each team will be headed by a woman, and not less than half of its members will be women. —Nikka G. Valenzuela
