MANILA, Philippines — Telecommunications firm Sky Cable Corp. on Thursday warned its fiber home internet customers that slow connection will be expected due to five-day maintenance activities.

“To our valued SKY Fiber subscribers, we’d like to inform you that Asia-America Gateway will be performing emergency maintenance activities on their subsea international cable systems starting Sept. 25 at 8 a.m. to Sept. 30 at 5 a.m.,” the company said in a statement.

“This will result in slow connection affecting social media web browsers and video streaming sites such as Facebook, Google and Netflix,” it added.
